The internet is abuzz with the excitement surrounding space technology. No other field has captured the public imagination as much as the idea of space exploration. There are countless blogs, news sites and social media accounts that are dedicated to discussing space technology and its possibilities. From Elon Musk’s SpaceX to Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin, there are a number of private companies that are focused on space travel and colonization. Space exploration is ultra-exciting and we’ve listed below some upcoming technologies in space that could be used in our everyday lives.

Quantum teleportation was first theorized in the 1990s and it has been successfully experimented with in recent times. Space technology, which is also known as Astronautics and Aerospace Engineering, is an area that deals with designing, building and launching all kinds of spacecraft. This field also deals with research in other areas like; aeronautics, astronautics and rocketry.

Space technology is an area that affects our daily lives directly and indirectly. Some of the areas include: communication technology, weather prediction and space tourism. It can be applied to many other fields including; agriculture, health, transportation and so on.

Studying space technology enables us to understand its applications in our life as well as understanding how we interact with our environment from a different point of view. It also helps us to study our history and discover new planets and galaxies where life could exist.

We all love a good space program-themed list, but this is one of the better ones we’ve seen. A blog called Science 2.0 has put together their list of the top five space technologies that they think will shape the future of space travel. The list consists of an ion engine, solar sails, a laser propulsion system, a space elevator and an antimatter rocket.

We’re not sure if the antimatter rocket will ever be feasible, but it’s certainly interesting to think about it in theory. The technology would require you to use magnets and superconductors to trap the antimatter until it was ready to be used as fuel. A trip to Mars could take days and a trip to Jupiter would only take months.
