New iPhones with Face ID are Here! How to Upgrade (or Not): A blog about new iPhone models and whether you should upgrade or not.

The new iPhone XS and XS Max are here, and if you’re like many of us at Gadget Zone, you’re probably wondering if you should upgrade from the iPhone 8 or if you should just wait for another year. This is a great question that we get asked a lot, so we put together this guide to help you make an informed decision.

So which phone should you buy? Well, keep reading and we’ll tell you!

As the iPhone X approaches its November 3 release date, consumers are left with the question: “Should I upgrade?” Given that the iPhone is Apple’s most popular product, the answer to that question matters.

The new iPhone X has plenty of improvements to get excited about. With a 5.8-inch OLED screen, it has a larger display than even the Plus model of last year’s iPhone 7 and 8 series. It comes with Face ID, a facial recognition feature that detects faces and allows you to unlock your phone using only your face. The phone also has wireless charging capabilities, which means you’ll be able to charge your phone without having to plug it in.

Among these many improvements is a price increase – $999 for 64GB and $1149 for 256GB. With that in mind, let’s think through whether or not you should upgrade to the new iPhone X in November 2017.

Apple launched two new iPhone models last week: the iPhone XS and the iPhone XS Max, both of which feature all-screen displays and Face ID, a facial recognition system to unlock the device.

The phones offer faster processors and better battery life than their predecessors. The iPhone XS starts at $999, while the larger iPhone XS Max starts at $1,099.

The tech giant also unveiled a lower-cost iPhone, known as the iPhone XR, which has an edge-to-edge display and Face ID but lacks some of the XS’s and XS Max’s fancier features such as pressure sensitivity on the screen and 3D Touch.

Should you upgrade? That depends on how badly you want the latest technology. Here are some of our thoughts about what makes these phones special — and whether they’re worth the price tag.

Apple on Tuesday announced three new iPhones: the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, joining last year’s iPhone 7 and 7 Plus; and the $999 iPhone X. The first two models are available for preorder this Friday, with a retail launch on Sept. 22. The iPhone X will be available for preorder Oct. 27, with a release date of Nov. 3.

So should you upgrade? Let’s consider each model separately.

The iPhone 8 ($699) is basically an updated version of the 7, but with faster processors and wireless charging capabilities. If you own an older model, such as the 6 or 6S, it’s worth upgrading to the 8 because of its improved camera capabilities and longer battery life. But if you already have an iPhone 7, it’s probably not worth the money to switch over to an 8. If you want to wait until next year, Apple is expected to release another updated version of its phones that will be even more impressive than this one!

The iPhone X ($999) is a massive upgrade from any previous model as it features an edge-to-edge 5.8-inch display screen (the biggest ever for an iPhone), facial recognition technology and wireless charging capabilities. It’

The new iPhones are here! If you were hoping for a radical design change, or a complete overhaul of the iPhone experience,…well, you’ll have to wait.

The new iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max look nearly identical to last year’s iPhone X (which is being discontinued), and the new iPhone XR (available in October) has a slightly different look than any of the previous phones. So if you’ve been hanging on to an older model with the expectation of a major upgrade, you may be disappointed.

But should you upgrade? That depends on your current phone, your budget, and what you want from your phone. And before we go any further: Yes, you may be able to save money by waiting until next year. Apple typically announces a new model every September, and each generation tends to be more affordable than the last.

But if you want to upgrade now, here’s what you need to know:

Apple’s new iPhone X is now available for pre-order, and will be shipping in November. The iPhone X includes a new 5.8″ OLED display, A11 bionic processor, wireless charging, up to 256GB of storage, and Face ID – a new way to unlock the phone using facial recognition.

So, should you upgrade?

There are two ways to answer that question: objectively and subjectively. Objectively, it depends on whether you’re eligible for an upgrade. If you’re not eligible for an upgrade, or you’re otherwise not paying full price for the phone, the best deal is probably to buy an iPhone X with 64GB of storage for $999. You won’t find a better deal anywhere else.

However, if you have an older device that’s no longer running properly or has a cracked screen (or both), it might make sense to pay full price for an iPhone X so that you can have a working phone again.

If you are eligible for an upgrade, think about your current needs versus your future needs. Having the newest phone is always nice, but if your current phone is more than adequate for your everyday needs then it might not be worth paying full price for the iPhone X just yet. The iPhone X

Apple is releasing its new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus today. The company has been touting a number of new features that may entice you to trade in your old iPhone for a newer model.

The most notable change is the addition of 3D Touch, which allows you to perform different actions depending on the pressure you exert on the screen. For instance, pressing down on the Instagram app icon will bring up quick menu options like taking a photo, recording a video or searching for friends, while pressing down on an email subject line in the Mail app will bring up a preview of the message.

There are also new cameras with improved sensors, more powerful processors and better graphics, faster LTE and Wi-Fi connections and longer battery life. (Engadget’s review.)

If you have an unlocked iPhone 5S or newer phone in good condition, Apple will let you trade it in to get up to $350 toward the purchase of an iPhone 6S or 6S Plus. The company’s trade-in partner will provide a quote for your phone and send you a prepaid shipping box so that you can send it back. After getting your phone, Apple sends you credit to use toward an upgrade within 14 days. If your old phone was damaged or had other problems that
