leo laporte is one of the most popular and educated people in the computer world. He has produced many well-known shows such as Security Now, Windows Weekly, MacBreak Weekly, This Week in Google, and many more. In my opinion, his most popular show is called This Week in Tech. Every week he hosts this show with a different group of guests. Most of these guests are tech celebrities such as Steve Gibson, Paul Thurrott, Kevin Rose, John C. Dvorak, and many more. One thing I like about leo laporte is that he speaks his mind and doesn’t hold back anything when it comes to discussing tech news with his guests. This is probably why he’s so popular in the tech world today.
leo laporte is one of the original tech podcasters and hosts a variety of shows on the TWiT network. He has been hosting his flagship show This Week in Tech since 2003.
This show is big enough that it’s not really appropriate to try and do a full “What You Can Learn From…” post, so instead this is just going to be a few observations.
leo laporte has built up a huge audience since he started podcasting in 2003. His TWiT podcast network currently has over 800,000 downloads per episode (and another 150,000 or so live streams).
He’s built this audience by focusing on quality and value. In his first podcast (which I happened to find thanks to Archive.org), he explained his personal philosophy on podcasting:
“…I am here for you… I’m going to work hard for you… I want your feedback… I want your suggestions… I want to make this show better.”
Here are some things I have learned from leo laporte’s show:
– Communication is important.
– Communication is the process of conveying a message from one party to the other. It is important for any society that has people working together to communicate so they know what needs to be done and how it should be done.
– Good communication requires good listening skills and an open mind. If you want to communicate well with others, listen carefully to what they say before responding so that you understand what they are saying accurately and completely (even if it’s not exactly what they meant). If they’re saying something different than what you thought they meant, ask questions until you figure out why their message didn’t match your expectations or assumptions (and then change those expectations or assumptions accordingly). I also learned this tip from leo laporte – ask clarifying questions!
– Leo does not need an editor because he is a very good communicator. He knows his audience well enough not only for them to understand him but also for him to explain things that are unfamiliar with ease and clarity.
– The best way to learn something new is by doing it yourself. If someone shows you how to do something but doesn’t let you try it out first, there
I started listening to This Week in Tech (TWiT) about a year ago. The first episode I listened to was the MacBreak Weekly podcast with Leo Laporte, Andy Ihnatko, Alex Lindsay and Merlin Mann. I quickly became a fan of their opinions on various topics and the way they discussed them. Their podcasts are often times hilarious and insightful. Leo Laporte is the host of TWiT and has a background in radio, tv and tech.
I think there are many things to learn from him:
1) He’s a good conversationalist
2) He’s clear in his speech
3) He knows when to be quiet
4) He knows what to be quiet about
5) He lets people speak their mind
6) He can win an argument with just one word
7) He cares about his audience
Leo Laporte is the host of several podcasts and shows, including This Week in Tech (TWiT), The Tech Guy, Security Now!, MacBreak Weekly, and others. He is a tech guru and has a lot to offer to the world. Some have called him the “Podfather.”
I listen to his podcasts on a daily basis. It’s amazing how much I’ve learned from this man. In this blog, I’ll share some of my favorite lessons from Leo Laporte.
Leo Laporte was born November 29, 1956 in New Jersey. He got his start in radio working at KFI AM 640 in Los Angeles. He later moved on to work for TechTV as host of The Screen Savers and Call for Help, two shows about technology.
One of the main themes of this blog is to help you achieve your goals. I have posted on many topics that can help you get started, but one thing I haven’t written about is what a successful person looks like. There are many people who go out and do great things everyday and don’t necessarily fit any particular mold. However, there are a few people who have certain attributes that seem to make them more successful than others.
For example, leo laporte is an entrepreneur and blogger who has an incredible drive for what he does. He has built multiple businesses, one of which he runs with his wife and two daughters. He is also an avid blogger and has over 100k followers on Twitter. He also loves to read, especially books about technology and business.
He seems like a pretty good guy to follow doesn’t he? Well here are some of the traits that I believe you can learn from him:
1) He is incredibly passionate about what he does
2) He is not afraid to fail (we all fail at some point)
3) He loves learning new things (especially if they will help him accomplish his goals)
4) He doesn’t let others opinions affect his own beliefs or actions
5) He knows how important
