DeepTech is a blog about we’re using the latest and greatest technologies to change our world.
We cover all the different aspects of how technology is changing our lives, from how it’s helping us become healthier, to how it’s making us more productive, to how it’s affecting what we do for fun and entertainment.
Powerful Technological Innovations That Are Enabling World Improvement
Technology is developing in leaps and bounds, and new developments are announced every day. The majority of technological innovations we hear about revolve around consumer devices, such as new smartphones, but that is not the only field where technology is being applied. There are plenty of other areas where innovation can have an impact on the world.
In fact, many people believe that technology will be the key to solving some of the world’s biggest problems, such as climate change and famine. This field is known as “deep tech” or “science technology”, and it includes a number of fascinating projects and companies that are using technology to make our world a better place.
Here are a few examples of deep tech innovations being used to change the world for the better:
Satellite internet for everyone
Access to the internet has become a human right in some countries, with Finland becoming the first country in 2010 to declare broadband access a legal right for every citizen. Other countries have since followed suit, recognizing that internet access is no longer a luxury but a necessity for modern life. A growing number of companies are attempting to make sure everyone has access to high-speed internet by utilizing satellites orbiting our planet
Today, we’re using the latest and greatest technologies to change our world. We’re using AI to make our cities more efficient, saving lives with better healthcare and increasing crop yields — with food to feed growing populations.
We need to build solutions that bring us closer together, not tear us apart. I believe technology is the key to making that happen.
Technology has always been a pillar of society and is at the center of everything we do in our daily lives. The way we work, the way we socialize and even the way politics works today are all dependent on technology. So it is no surprise that we have seen an influx of VC investment in tech-related industries over recent years — with big names like Google, Facebook and Tesla leading the charge.
But what about technology that has a real impact on our world? What about the uses of technology that will help us solve global challenges? That question is what inspired me to start this blog. I hope you enjoy it!
Technology is the engine that has driven humanity forward, through the creation of simple tools and the harnessing of fire to today’s super-computers. It’s an amazing time to be alive with technology advancing at an exponential rate. But this advancement is not without its challenges: extinction rates are increasing, climate change is accelerating, inequality is growing and AI may be coming for our jobs.
In this blog we explore how technology can help us tackle some of these problems. We look at how we’re using the latest and greatest technologies to change our world for the better.
There is also a lot of super useful technology just waiting to be put to use. Things like Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Quantum Computing are already being used by some companies in some very clever ways. We’re going to explore many of these technologies in this blog.
This blog is about the latest and greatest technology that will bring the world forward. It’s less about the next photo app, and more about how we’re using technology to improve our lives and experiences on this planet.
It’s a good time to be alive!
For the last decade, the hottest tech trends were social and mobile. That’s changing. The next wave of technology advances will not come from companies building better social networks or e-commerce sites, but from a new generation of entrepreneurs that are using the latest and greatest technologies to change our world.
The next big thing will be Deep Tech.
Deep Tech is all about using technology to solve real-world problems, and it’s going to be huge! The range of problems that are being addressed encompasses a wide range of topics such as healthcare, agriculture and the environment.
Deep Tech startups are more often than not founded by PhD graduates who have been working in labs on cutting edge research for many years before they decide to commercialize their work, which often involves some sort of novel invention or patent.
The Deep Tech trend is especially noticeable in Europe where there has been a large growth in specialist deep tech focused VC funds over the last 12 months as well as an increase in corporate venture capital activity
This new wave of innovation has already started with some great examples out there already:
Deep Genomics – Using artificial intelligence to develop lifesaving drugs
Zipline – Using drones to deliver lifesaving medical supplies to remote areas
The web is full of sites where you can learn about the latest trends and technologies, but not many sites where you can learn how to use these same technologies to change our world. We aim to remedy that with this blog.
We’re a team of passionate engineers who love building products that solve real world problems. Our team is spread all over the world, making it easy for us to work with partners in every part of the globe. Our technology stack is based on Nodejs, React and React Native.
