Are you a slow gamer? Here are 5 Reasons Why You May Be Slower Than Most and What to Do About it: A blog around recognizing the difference between slow and fast gamers along with what to do when you fall into that category.
A lot of people want to become faster gamers (and gamers in general). It gives them the ability to play more games, beat more games and make it through the entire campaign of a game. However, some people either don’t know how or just don’t understand what makes them a slower gamer in the first place.
In this piece we’re going to cover 5 reasons why you may be slower than most when it comes to gaming and how you can fix it. So if you’re ready let’s get started!
Reason
Most people know that there are two types of gamers out there. There are slow gamers and there are fast gamers. The difference is pretty evident, but many don’t know how to explain it. However, slow gamers might not realize that it’s a problem or how it’s hurting their gaming experience. This article aims to change that by teaching you some of the reasons why you may be slower than most and what you can do about it.
First Reason: You Aren’t Using the Right Controls
One of the first things that you need to know about is what type of controller you’re using. Some controllers like the DualShock 4 have a lot of extra buttons that are meant to help make things easier for you to do. If your main controller doesn’t have them, then it might be time for an upgrade. Keep in mind though that if you don’t use all of these features at all times then you’ll never get used to them and they won’t help your game as much as they could otherwise.
Second Reason: You Don’t Understand What You Need To Do
If you’re playing something like League of Legends, then this problem is probably your fault entirely and not the game’s fault. It is entirely possible to lose games just because someone on your team doesn
The average gamer is quite a lot faster than the average person. If you play video games at all, you’re probably faster than most people. To be specific, if you play video games at all, you’re probably better at hand-eye coordination, spatial reasoning, risk assessment, and probability analysis than most people.
But that doesn’t mean you’re fast enough. Video gamers are not a homogenous group–they range from slow to insanely fast. The difference between the fastest and the slowest is about 1000x (see examples below).
The difference between being a good gamer and being one of the best gamers in the world comes down to practice–but not just any practice will do. You have to practice the right way. The biggest reason why gamers are slow is because they have not optimized their practice routines. They don’t know how to get better as fast as they can.
If you want to be one of the fastest gamers in the world, I can help. Here’s what I’ve learned about getting better at video games after 10 years of researching my book and app: The Art of Learning, an Inner Journey to Optimal Performance, about what it takes to be great at anything (including gaming).

It can be frustrating when you notice that everyone else is already done while you’re still trying to think through what to do.
